Blitwise Productions adds to its iPhone arsenal with the classic PC Game “Raptor: Call of the Shadows”. Players relive the glory days of PC gaming while the next generation discovers a Raptor that’s been updated to today’s cutting-edge handheld devices.

Raptor now available for iPhone / iPad / iPod Touch

It’s an honor for Blitwise to create the very first handheld version of this true classic.

“Raptor: Call of the Shadows” release on iPhone brings this long-time favorite into the player’s hands with a modern touch screen interface. Since its PC-DOS release in 1994 Raptor has allowed players to sit in the pilot’s seat of a Raptor space fighter and fly missions to take down opponents of the Mega-Corps. After blasting through waves of enemy ships to complete missions, players earn money to acquire larger and more devastating weapons. 4 levels of difficulty, from Rookie to Elite, and 24 levels of addictive gameplay keep fingers firing.

A lite version is also available from the App Store and offers missions to the Bravo Sector only.

Blitwise Productions, LLC president Michael P. Welch, commented, “Raptor is my all-time favorite PC-DOS shoot’em-up game, and it’s an honor for Blitwise to create the very first handheld version of this true classic.”

“Raptor: Call of the Shadows” follows the hugely successful Blitwise product “Pocket Tanks,” released to the App Store in April of 2009 and rose to #4 on the Top Free list. iPhone development is the latest endeavor for the downloadable game company, which was founded in 2001 by developer Michael P. Welch, of Pocket Tanks and Super DX-Ball fame.

Pricing and Availability:
The game is available in the App Store as of Monday, December 20th, 2010. The Full version is priced at $1.99 (USD) and a free Lite version also available.
