Splice Pictures, LLC, an entrepreneurial startup entertainment company and virtual studio, today announced the launch of its San Francisco, California production house and post-production facility. The brainchild of next-generation young veteran producers, Austin Anderson and Steve Salob, Splice Pictures will operate as a virtual studio which allows clients to significantly reduce cost of video marketing and film production.

Built on a backbone of experienced producers, writers, directors, and editors, Splice Pictures can produce larger budget studio format films with star talent attached. By hiring only the best freelance professionals from the Bay Area on an as needed basis, the Company significantly reduces the cost of video marketing and film production.

Austin Anderson, President, Splice Pictures, Born in Hawaii, he spent most of his childhood surfing in Southern California. He survived both brain and heart surgery at the age of seventeen, which ingrained in him the importance of pursuing goals and dreams as ‘life is too short to do anything but’. Austin co-founded Continuum Pictures, a Los Angeles based independent production company. During his six years at Continuum Pictures, he was involved with every aspect of production on a multitude of projects from commercials, promotional videos, music videos, short films, live events, animation and above all, feature films. Austin’s clientele includes Verizon Wireless, and Partnership for a Drug Free America.

In 2010, Austin co-founded Splice Pictures, LLC. To date, he has served as producer for: Mano A Mano (thriller), Ocean Front Property (romantic comedy), Convict (thriller), Absents (horror) and oversaw the productions of Ten Cents Short (crime thriller), Two rooms in the Valley (drama), and Sabor Tropical (thriller).

Steve Salob, Vice President, Splice Pictures, After several years of litigation practice in New York City, and one well-publicized homicide defense case at the height of his law career, Steve decided to go back to his story telling roots. He has written, directed and acted in several short films, commercials and motion pictures since relocating to California. Steve is currently developing several feature length screenplays and, as an integral part of Splice Pictures, works closely with developing up and coming acting talent. His previous clients include Fujitsu, and Discovery Channel.
