San Diego MindTouch, the open source alternative to Microsoft SharePoint, today announced that technology thought leader and open source veteran Sam Ramji has joined its advisory board. Mr. Ramji will provide strategic insight and guidance to the MindTouch executive team as it positions the company for continued market capture in the enterprise collaborative networking space.

Mr. Ramji, currently the Vice President of Strategy at Sonoa Systems, brings over 15 years of diverse experience in enterprise software, product development, and the open source community. Previous to Sonoa Systems, he drove many of Microsoft's contributions to open source. Ramji was also a leader in BEA's move into cross-platform initiatives as a founding member of the AquaLogic product team. Prior to that he led the Ofoto engineering team through its acquisition by Kodak.
