CartoonGems.com has launched The Pacific Ocean, the first in a series of children’s books starring CartoonGems character Professor Beetoven, the educated bee. Geared for preschoolers through third graders, the sharply illustrated books combine learning with fun.
In The Adventures of Professor BEEtoven: The Pacific Ocean, sea captain Barnacle Bill teaches Professor Beetoven and Tad the Frog about the largest of the world’s oceans, which covers a third of the earth’s surface and extends 9,000 miles from east to west.
“These aren’t just the dry facts that I remember in my schoolbooks,” explains CartoonGems founder and book publisher James Rumpf. “The CartoonGems characters—especially Professor Beetoven, our main character in every book—use humor and fun to teach kids about the Pacific Ocean.”
Reviewers and school teachers agree with Rumpf. Magdalena Ball says, “Homeschoolers and teachers can build lessons around this book, and children will hardly know they’re being taught.” Carolyn Howard-Johnson adds, “An amazing concept. Children and parents will love the characters, expertly drawn.”
The Adventures of Professor BEEtoven: The Pacific Ocean is available as a Printed version on createspace.com for download as an ebook on CartoonGems.com. A talking storybook Flash version is also available. The next book in the series, currently in production, is Dubois’s Chocolate Factory.
