All Star Flags was recently chosen as the American flag and flagpole supplier for the new Myrtle Beach Boardwalk Project. The company is providing two fifty foot flagpoles and six forty foot hurricane strength flagpoles and an American flag for each pole.
Chad Creech, Vice President of All Star Flags, explains, “We’re very proud to be supplying American flags and flagpoles for Myrtle Beach’s latest boardwalk project. Our line of hurricane strength flagpoles are the finest in the industry, able to withstand hurricane force winds with no problem, which makes them ideal for the Myrtle Beach coast. We also coated every flagpole with a special Tnemec finish that will protect the poles for years from the brutal effects of ocean saltwater, high winds, and sand.”
Myrtle Beach’s new Oceanfront Boardwalk and Promenade is a 1.2 mile stretch from the 14th Avenue Pier to the 2nd Avenue Pier. It provides spectacular oceanfront views along a path featuring a wide variety of shops and restaurants. The mid-section, from 8th Avenue North to Plyler Park features restaurants and a carnival-like atmosphere, while the northern end features natural landscaping and dunes for scenic strolls. The southern end of the Boardwalk features an oceanfront park and benches for relaxing. All Star’s American flags can be seen along the entire stretch of Boardwalk, displayed atop fifty and forty foot flagpoles provided especially for the Myrtle Beach project.
Creech explained, “Myrtle Beach is an icon of the traditional, American beachfront community. It’s one of the east coast’s best family vacation spots and is famous for being a clean, safe, and beautiful place to relax and unwind. The care and planning that make Myrtle Beach so special is evident in this project.” The new Boardwalk and Promenade cost nearly seven million dollars and is made up of nearly 800,000 feet of lumber.
“When we were chosen to supply the flagpoles and American flags to be displayed along the beachfront, we knew we needed to provide the strongest flagpoles available and beautiful, durable American flags that would do justice to the setting. We believe we’ve done this. We hope everyone will take the opportunity when they’re in the Myrtle Beach area to enjoy the new Boardwalk and admire our American flags against the backdrop of the Atlantic Ocean. It’s an unforgettable sight.”
