Stephanie Vinson to blog about her experiences before and after ostomy surgery

Stephanie Vinson - New C3Life.com Blogger

I want to get the message out that if you’re having issues with your colon, you don’t have to live with the pain and inconvenience, and you don’t have to be embarrassed.

C3Life.com℠, a community website for people with ostomies, their caregivers, and loved ones is now featuring a new blogger: Stephanie Vinson. Vinson, who has a permanent ileostomy, is not only writing a blog for C3Life.com, but has also contributed a selection of videos documenting her journey through Crohn’s disease, diagnostic tests, and ostomy surgery.

Vinson was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease in 2006 at the age of 28 and had her colon removed earlier this year. In her C3Life.com blog and in her videos, Vinson shares her story, and encourages those who have experienced any kind of change in bowel habits to get medical help sooner rather than later.

“I want to get the message out that if you’re having issues with your colon, you don’t have to live with the pain and inconvenience, and you don’t have to be embarrassed,” said Vinson. “There are treatment options out there ý and the support that’s available is amazing.”

“We are thrilled to have Stephanie contribute content to our website,” said Lisa Peterson, Manager of the C3Life website and community. “Our members will relate to the experiences she describes in her blog postings and videos, and will find them extremely interesting and informative.”
