In keeping with its mission to "change the way people buy eyeglasses", Web Vision Centers, Inc. (parent company of Try Glasses For Free) announces the launch of a new Home Trial eyeglass frame program called "Try Before You Buy". Now eyeglass wearers have the option of selecting up to four eyeglass frames on a newly launched website, TryGlassesForFree.com. Shoppers can have the trial frames (with non-prescription demo lenses) sent to their home or office to try on, check the fit/color and show to friends, family or co-workers to get their opinion. This program is absolutely free (including shipping both ways).
Why Offer This Program: Recent research indicates that over 40% of consumers said they would never buy eyeglasses online because they cannot try the frames on. Try Glasses For Free decided to overcome that issue by offering to send eyeglass frames to consumers to try on in the convenience of their own home or office. Bob Main, President of Web Vision Centers said, "We have been testing this revolutionary concept with consumers for the past year and the response has been overwhelmingly positive. In an age of 'not enough time', consumers love the convenience of selecting eyeglass frames online and having them sent to their home/office to evaluate before they purchase or have lenses put into them. Besides being able to check the fit and color before buying them, shoppers can get the opinion of their friends, family or co-workers." Main says, "You can't go into a Lenscrafters and take home eyeglass frames without paying for them first to show your family and friends. The Home Trial or Try Before You Buy program is the perfect no-risk convenience scenario."
Program Details: Consumers go to the specially designed Home Trial website, TryGlassesForFree.com. Select up to four eyeglass frames from a variety of price ranges and frame styles, and then simply add them to the shopping cart using the no charge Home Trial option. At checkout, shoppers are asked for credit card information to insure the frames are sent back at the end of the trial period, but there is no charge for the home trial frames or shipping. The frames will be sent to the consumer’s home or office, and they have 7 days to evaluate and get others opinions about the frames. A postage paid return label is provided, and the frames are put back into the original box and placed into any USPS mailbox. If the shopper decides to purchase any of the frame(s) and have lenses put in them, they can complete an order form that comes with the home trial kit, or go online to complete the purchase.
