Writings build on foundation of belief itself—biblical insight and rationale

When it comes to God, everyone believes in something. With simplistic beauty, author Michael M. McNeley takes readers on a journey of discovery of their own beliefs in his new Xulon Press release, I Believe ($10.99, paperback, 978-1-61579-359-4). Within the pages of this book, he has compiled simple statements of belief and framed them in faith; it does not try to convince, convert, or persuade, but rather it issues a statement of belief that builds on the very foundation and essence of belief itself—that of biblical insight and rationale. Part Bible study and part autobiography, the book will have readers questioning themselves “what do I truly believe?” by the time they reach the last page.

“I hope readers will be encouraged and understand that they are not alone in their beliefs,” the author says. “I believe most Christians will agree with most or all the beliefs in this book.”

McNeley—a resident of Bowie, Maryland—says that the experience of writing this book helped him to discover his own beliefs and remember how much God loves him. “In writing this book, it was important for me to draw nearer to God so I could record my thoughts and beliefs in order to declare my sovereign Lord’s goodness to others,” he explains. “Even though I am not a writer, I attempted to write this book because I felt God laid it on my heart to do so. That made the venture rather exciting. I hope it blesses God, and I hope it blesses you. I know it has been a blessing to me as I wrote down what I Believe!”

Xulon Press, a division of Salem Communications, is the world’s largest Christian publisher, with more than 7,000 titles published to date.
