Xulon Press is proud to announce the release of author Cynthia Emanuel Johnson’s new release, /bookstore/bookdetail.php?PB_ISBN=9781609570217&HC_ISBN=9781609570224 [Glimpse of Light] ($14.99, paperback, 978-1-60957-021-7; $22.99, hardcover, 978-1-60957-022-4). This book of inspirational poetry was written to encourage Christians and introduce to unbelievers who are trapped in the sea of sin a glimpse of true freedom by the acceptance of Jesus Christ. It is intended to remind some and inform others that Jesus is willing and ready to forgive everyone if they only accept Him as Lord and Savior and begin to walk in victory through the power of His Holy Spirit.
“I hope the readers will take away such a strong glimpse of Jesus Christ to the point where they become inquisitive and want to learn more about Him,” the author says. “I hope in the process of learning of Jesus, they repent of sins and receive through faith Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. It is my desire that sinners come to the realization that Jesus is ready and willing to forgive them.”
Johnson, a resident of Hinesville, Georgia, has long enjoyed using her poetry as a means of sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ. She hopes that by using her own life experience as a basis for many of the poems, she will show readers how people can be saved by repenting and receiving the Lord as Savior. “I am a true example of one who lived outside the will of God until I received Jesus as Lord and Savior,” she explains. “Before I received Him, I controlled my own life and had little to no hope at times.”
