OpenClovis Solutions, Inc., the leader in Open Source High Availability (HA) Middleware and Tools, recently signed a contract with Telecom Malaysia Research and Development (TMR&D), the research and development arm of Telecom Malaysia Berhad (TM), to support the development of a nation-wide Gigabit Passive Optical Network (GPON) service.
The agreement between the two companies will allow TMR&D access to OpenClovis’ unique, open source dual-license Middleware software platform, the OpenClovis Application Service Provider (ASP), to build a GPON leveraging commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) platform.
