These new systems come at a time of optimism in the industry
Pontiac, MI (Vocus) June 30, 2010
Argus Industrial Co., a producer of efficient, portable screening plants for more than 15 years, has introduced two new screeners to its EZ-Screen line. As with all of its workhorse machines that out-perform and outlast for a better value than anything in the market, its new machines are backed by the same manufacturing philosophy and outstanding personal service that has always come with the manufacturer’s products.
The first new product, the EZ-Screen 409, is the company’s first trommel screening machine, suitable for use with light and wet materials such as mulch, topsoil, and compost. It uses a constant tumbling action to stir up material over and over, add air to lighten it, and keep it in contact with the rotating mesh for a longer period of time. A 50 HP Deutz diesel engine, vulcanized conveyor belts, auxiliary hydraulics to add a conveyor, and hydraulic jacks at the discharge end that allow for adjustment of the material flow speed are included in this workhorse.
Better yet, the EZ-409 screening machine is portable, trucked easily with a 1 ton truck to each job site, and can be set up quickly. The system works with a ½-1¾ yard loader and is engineered to provide outstanding service in specialized screening operations.
Al Skoropa, owner of EZ-Screen, said, “Its list of convenient features make the EZ-409 a bargain over other trommel screeners, but not as much as its low price. At $69,500 plus freight, the screener is a real value, and there is no sales force or showrooms to deal with, because we always sell direct, one to one.”
If it is a versatile topsoil screener or gravel screen you need for larger jobs, EZ-Screen is also introducing the EZ-Screen 2200 portable topsoil and gravel screener for the mid-range portable screener market. It’s made to work with a 1-3 yard loader. This machine has a three-section conveyor belt, suited for topsoil, rock, sand and gravel as well as wood chips and mulch. The unit’s conveyors allow for flexibility in stockpiling screened material or loading it into vehicles. The new portable screen also has a middle conveyor option, allowing material to be screened into three different sizes, such as sand, rocks, and gravel. Each is separated and put in different places, but with enough room for the machine to maneuver around them.
“These new systems come at a time of optimism in the industry,” added Skoropa. “Interest and sales activity in our screening equipment are showing a sharp upturn for the coming year. We are proud to introduce these two innovative products at a time when they are most needed. Their great features and reasonable price should make them appealing to users in many applications.”
Manufacturing EZ-Screen portable topsoil screener units since 1996, EZ Screen serves small- and mid-size businesses with affordable and efficient products suitable for different jobs. Its systems range from small job screeners to heavy-duty screening machines. Also, the company’s patented kinetic drive system provides an efficient design that allows each machine, including its trommel screener and its mid-range topsoil and gravel screener, to perform better but use less horsepower.
