Utilizing Scripture, authors highlight words of Jesus on different topics

It was several years ago when Thad King began to park himself and his laptop at the back of the Harbor House in Sunset Beach, California. It was during these early mornings that he would have time to study, think, and pray; many times he emotionally felt like a man coming up from the bottom of a pool, gasping for breath as he prayed and personally engaged the Lord. And it was here, in this same place, where he met his future co-author, Gary Quick, the owner of the establishment. The two men shared themselves with others in a real and straightforward way and began working toward a common light at the end of the tunnel—Jesus. In their new Xulon Press release, Red Words ($10.99, paperback, 978-1-60957-061-3), the co-authors share their common burning core: the question of “Jesus, what do You want?” In this book, the authors strive to answer this and more with Scriptures that highlight the words of Jesus on different topics.

“This book offers a quick overview of Jesus’ words in different areas of life,” the co-authors say. “It is an opportunity to see Jesus’ words on different topics. It represents some updated, current areas where Christ’s words are so relevant today.”

Thad King is the pastor of Pierpoint Church in Huntington Beach. He lives there with his wife, Rhonda, and their daughter, Randi. Gary Quick is a businessman. He is married to Barbara and has two children, Katherine and George. He resides in Newport Beach.
