Because our love for bottled water has placed our health and our environment at risk, KOR Water has created another innovative, empowering and sustainable personal hydration vessel. KOR Water once again teamed with strategic design partner RKS to develop the KOR Delta Hydration Vessel™. Available now just in time for the holidays, Delta incorporates everything the team has learned about the art of high style, high performance hydration into an on-the-go vessel with a confident personality and exciting new features. “We again sought to create an ideal hydration experience, one in which design inspires, personal health triumphs, and sustainability prevails,” said KOR Water Co-founder and CEO, J. Eric Barnes, “We listened very carefully to our many passionate customers who wanted the same great product with more options, greater portability and better affordability.”
The Delta comes on the heels of the award-winning KOR One Hydration Vessel, which was featured in the film Iron Man 2, major media outlets and in the hands of top celebrities in 2010. The Delta sets the stage for broader adoption of the KOR brand by health conscious consumers with a stunning new design, enhanced functionality and more affordable price - available now through korwater.com or through http://www.amazon.com The Delta incorporates all the design elements consumers loved about the original KOR One, and added new features and options designed to elevate the ritual of hydration even further. Delta is easier to clean and fill because the bottle’s top is now completely removable and dishwasher safe. Now available in multiple sizes – 500mL and 750mL – the distinctive delta-shaped carry handle has been ergonomically optimized, while the base has been rounded for easier car transport. An added safety latch to the push-button operation provides extra security when in use in diverse environments.
KOR Delta again contributes significantly to both personal and environmental health – reducing disposable bottled water waste by use of a BPA-free product made from Eastman Tritan™, which provides the look and feel of glass without the fragility of glass or health concerns. The same great No-Worry Cap™ swivels open with the press of a button and the twist of a wrist, then stays out of your way while you drink from the Perfect Spout™, designed large enough to accommodate ice cubes and featuring a threadless design that feels better on the lips. Delta is available in KOR’s four classic colors – ice blue, sunrise orange, sawgrass green, and orchid pink – features the same no-slip base, and again incorporates reflection into the hydration ritual through the use of KOR Stones™- disc shaped tokens that provide inspirational and interchangeable messages to the user with each sip.
Delta is highly functional and also highly fashionable, and both aspects make it more accessible. The Delta’s design:
- Echoes the successful KOR One design, featuring a clear bottle wrapped with pure white. Again, the transparent design allows everyone to see the true beauty of pure water surrounded by a while halo symbolizing purity, while appealing to every age and both genders.
- Improves and enhances consumer options (sizes), ergonomics (carry handle), use-ability (easy clean/fill), and convenience (weight reduction).
- Invites with a reduced price point that will appeal to a wider variety of consumers interested in owning a premium product. With MSRP’s at $19.95 and $22.95 respectively, the two KOR Deltas offer a premium alternative at a more attractive price.
- Protects the environment even more via reduced plastic material required in manufacture.
- Advocates for water mirroring KOR’s mission, with the Delta shape chosen as KOR’s visual tribute to the ancient Greek symbol for change (∆); the delta is KOR’s next step in changing perceptions as they continue to advocate for water in a world that too often takes it for granted.
According to RKS Founder/CEO, Ravi Sawhney, “RKS sought to improve on the embraced design of the KOR One, which fueled its organic placement and viral growth, while preserving all the elements consumers loved. KOR and RKS incorporated customer feedback to make the Delta even easier to clean, fill, transport and carry, while introducing desired new size options and preserving the overall design aesthetic.”
The KOR Delta is ‘Sustainable by Design,’ because KOR Water sees design as much more than a mere differentiator and believes that well-made, beautifully designed products are inherently more sustainable than commodity products that quickly end up in landfills. Indeed, the three pillars of KOR Water are Design, Health and Sustainability. “Design has the power to inspire and motivate people to live healthier and to make positive changes that have a real effect on the health of our planet,” said KOR Water CEO, J. Eric Barnes. So, to achieve the Delta’s innovative design, KOR once again teamed up with world-renowned design firm RKS, whose proprietary Psycho-Aesthetics™ methodology helped deliver a product that meets both the functional and emotional needs of KOR’s target customers. KOR Co-founder and President, Paul Shustak added, “Delta is KOR’s latest response to the need for a healthy, sustainable, and environmentally sound way for health-conscious consumers to stay hydrated, and we’re thrilled with the results – a great looking, healthy, sustainable product that weights less and has a more attractive price. KOR is all about inspiring change, and Delta is our next step in changing perceptions as we continue to advocate for water in a world that too often takes it for granted.”
Design aesthetics, ruggedness and broad environmental appropriateness were purposefully pursued so that more users found the product accessible to carry their Deltas throughout their normal day – to the office, car, gym, home and back again. Delta, like all KOR products, is part of KOR’s highly praised Thirst for GivingTM program, which donates 1% of sales to water related charities and raises awareness for the following causes: ocean protection, container recycling, watershed protection, and the global water crisis.
