The government submission selected to receive the top Government Award was the Persistent and Daily Distributed Mission Operations Training from the Distributed Training Operations Center (DTOC), Des Moines, Iowa. The presentations will be made during lunch at AFEI’s Emerging DoD Information Platforms Conference, December 14 in Alexandria, VA.

The selected organizations demonstrated, in the opinion of the judges, the best applications of technology and leadership to improve enterprise performance. Innovative approaches, quantifiable metrics, long-term strategic effect and measureable accomplishments were all clear attributes of the winning nominations.

Ms. Jo Manson, Manager of Strategic Communications for the US Army Program Director for Transportation Information Systems, was one of this year’s judges and is a past award winner. “The Excellence in Enterprise Integration awards program is a great competition. Being a judge raised my level of awareness about the quality of the overall award nominations and the commitment by Industry and Government to bring innovative problem solving and emerging technologies to the forefront of their program’s solutions,” said Ms. Manson.

“AFEI is extremely proud of this awards program” said David Chesebrough, President of the association. “This year we received over 50 nominations. Reading through the submissions provides insight into the outstanding work being done in Government and industry. Many of these nominations were deserving of recognition.”
