We were absolutely thrilled to receive these awards
Kingsland, TX (PRWEB) October 16, 2010
Homes by Donahoo of Bluffton, Texas, received Best of Parade award along with four other individual awards at the opening of the Building Industry Association of the Highland Lakes 2010 Parade Conservation Home Tour on September 28th. The stunning new custom home built by Homes by Donahoo at 1521 Legends Parkway in Kingsland, Texas, was also voted Best Interior Design, Best Craftsmanship, Best Unique Feature for Technology and Best Kitchen-Living Area.
Upon approach, the striking impact of the stately structure with Oklahoma stone façade, the beautiful native-Texas landscaping and elegant carved stone fountain heralds the spectacular experience to be had inside.
The luxurious home with 5,477 sq. ft. of living space, has a spacious gourmet kitchen with custom Alder cabinetry which opens to a soaring two-story great room with a dramatic, curved and ornamental-iron encased catwalk overhead. The floor-to-ceiling windows offer a view of the outdoor summer kitchen for alfresco dining, a pavilion where the family can gather, custom boat dock and beautiful lake. The first floor also features a sumptuous master suite with an opulent master bath graced by a chandelier. The second floor has a state-of-the art media room, a game room and lavish guest wing. The architecture and placement on the home site provides shade all along the lakeside first floor patio which runs the length of the whole house. The patio connects to a second floor patio, game room and media room by a wrought iron spiral staircase.
Exquisite architectural details are seen throughout the house including intricate tile work, special finishes, masterful painting techniques and custom ironwork. A top-of-the-line home automation system integration for controlling numerous flat screen TVs, multi-room music, lighting, temperature, security and the outdoor fountain with total home control from the boat dock, iPod or cell phone, adds lifestyle enhancement to this extraordinary residence.
“We were absolutely thrilled to receive these awards,” said Barbara Donahoo, of Homes by Donahoo. “We would like to thank our gracious owners, Mr. and Mrs. Kendall Phinney and their interior design team, Dalek Interiors for allowing us to show the home. We would also like to extend our thanks to the architectural designer Jerome Rugen of Delineations in Marble Falls, and all of the partners, subcontractors and vendors who worked hand-in-hand with us to create this beautiful home.”
