East Coast Fertility (ECF) announced today the addition of Dr. Eli Rybak, MD, MPH, FACOG to its already impressive staff of medical professionals.

Dr. Rybak graduated with a B.A. in Biology, summa cum laude, from Yeshiva University in New York and received his medical degree from The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He also earned his Masters in Public Health from The Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Dr. Rybak performed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Johns Hopkins, where he was awarded the prestigious Chief Resident Award for Excellence in Gynecologic Oncology. He recently completed his fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at Montefiore Medical Center and The Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where he remains an Assistant Clinical Professor.

Dr. Rybak’s clinical expertise includes minimally invasive surgery, IVF, ovulation induction, polycystic ovarian syndrome, fibroids, recurrent pregnancy loss, and reproductive endocrinology. He is well published and has presented at conferences such as the American Society for Reproductive Medicine and the Society for Gynecologic Investigation. He has a particular interest in the ethical aspects of assisted reproduction, and was first-author of a November 2009 article published in Fertility and Sterility, a leading journal in reproductive medicine, defending the clinical and ethical validity of elective egg freezing for possible future self-use.

Dr. Rybak is also an Ordained Orthodox Rabbi, having studied at Yeshiva Rabbi Samson Raphael Hirsch, Yeshivat Har Etzion, and the Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary of Yeshiva University. This background has given him a unique appreciation for the spiritual aspect of assisted reproduction, and for the spiritual needs and concerns of his patients. Dr. Rybak is fluent in Hebrew, and has a basic command of Yiddish. He sees patients in the East Coast Fertility’s Brooklyn office.

“We’re privileged to have someone of Dr. Rybak’s stature join our practice,” says Dr. David Kreiner, Medical Director of East Coast Fertility. “His medical background combined with his personal experience and patient sensitivity make him a perfect addition to our already impressive staff of medical professionals.”

Dr. Rybak will be seeing patients in ECF’s Brooklyn office, and looks forward to practicing at such a renowned fertility clinic. “I’m eager to get started and contribute to the team at ECF,” says Dr. Rybak. “I’m proud to be a part of such a talented staff, and joining ECF will allow me to reach more patients and help make their dreams of having a family a reality.”
