Gillie Sutherland is the new health manager and life coach at the award winning FitFarms which is often remarked upon as a more successful Fat Camp model that started in the 1980’s in the United States Of America.
Gillie explains that it’s very important to start your mind to think healthy before the start of the Christmas period. Generally speaking the average person will say I’m going to have a good blow out over the Christmas period and then tackle my weight issues in the new year. Gillie says all that you will be doing is setting yourself up for failure. The task becomes even more difficult if you weigh more than you did before the Christmas period. It’s also alot harder to move and burn those calories off if you can’t physically move as much as you did before Christmas.
FitFarms weight loss boot camp is now offering a 3 month follow up programme to make sure that clients stay on track. This is one of the main reasons why the November months have become so busy says Gillie as clients know their 3 month follow up programme will carry on over the Christmas period and into the new year.
FitFarms has recently added a whole mixture of new exercises from Zumba which is a Latin style dance exercise to FitBox which is a mixture of the standard boxercise sessions and circuits but with the added twist of FitFarms sessions.
The weight loss retreat has an average age of 45 years but has had clients from 18 to 78 and everyone is made to feel very welcome with the one goal of changing their lives for the better.
Janice from Surrey says “If Carlsberg made holidays.... This would be the best holiday ever. Really the most inspiring and tiring week I’ve ever had. Great programme, varied enough for everyone to fit all ages and fitness levels. The team are worth their tiny weight in gold! Thank you so much for your help support , knowledge and inspiration.”
