John Tierney has had a week since his wife was convicted for 'willful blindness to tax fraud' to come clean to the voters of the 6th District about his ongoing knowledge of these crimes, which took place in his home

The campaign of Bill Hudak, http://www.hudakforcongress.com, candidate for U.S. Congress in the 6th Massachusetts Congressional District, announced today that it has launched its first television ad of the campaign, focusing on the serious criminal matter of Congressman John Tierney’s family involvement in racketeering and tax fraud, his questionable votes on Internet and offshore gambling bans and his long record of tax increases for working families.

“John Tierney has had a week since his wife was convicted for ‘willful blindness to tax fraud’ to come clean to the voters of the 6th District about his ongoing knowledge of these crimes, which took place in his home,” said Bill Hudak. “It would be a simple matter for the Congressman to disclose financial and legal records that could disprove his direct or indirect involvement in, or benefit from, his family’s criminal activities. Still the Congressman has yet to act. The voters of the 6th District have the right to wonder why.”

On Wednesday, October 6, 2010, Patrice Tierney plead guilty in Federal Court to four counts of filing of false federal tax returns on more than $7 million in illegal gambling proceeds to conceal an offshore gaming enterprise controlled by her brother, convicted fugitive Robert Eremian.

The 30-second ad describes the Tierney family’s charges of racketeering and tax fraud, Congressman Tierney’s defense of his wife’s involvement, his questionable vote against banning Internet and offshore gambling and his history of voting for tax increases on working families. This is contrasted with Bill Hudak’s pro-growth jobs agenda for a stronger economy and lower taxes.

“The difference between my common-sense approach to job creation, lower government spending and a tax policy that will stimulate growth, compared with Congressman Tierney’s nearly perfect record of voting for Nancy Pelosi’s ultra-liberal agenda could not be more clear,” concluded Hudak. “This November, the voters face a defining choice between the failed policies of the last two years, or a way forward to renewed hope and prosperity.”

The Hudak campaign’s ad is scheduled to be broadcast on television stations throughout the 6th Congressional District, including CNN, Fox News and New England Cable News.
