I'm very impressed with the ferocity and talent of the pro-fighters throughout the state and particularly here in the Northwoods, and we are excited to have them on this card

Wisconsin’s best professional and amateur mixed martial arts fighters will battle for top bragging rights in King of Cage “High Profile” at Lake of the Torches Resort Casino on Saturday, Oct. 9. Tickets are $35, $45 and $75. Doors to the convention center will open at 6 p.m. and fights will begin at 7 p.m. You must be 18.
Leading the list of “High Profile” Wisconsin fighters is Dallas O’Malley. His 6-1 record should make him one of the night’s top contender with his trade stand “let my hands go” style. His last two fights ended with O’Malley knocking out his opponents. O’Malley is the son of famed fighter and matchmaker for the ‘High Profile Event, Pat O’Malley.
Local favorite “Smile‘N” Sam Alvey returns with a vengeance after a tough loss to Gerald Meerschaert in a five-round war this past September. Alvey will bring his well-known aggressiveness with an amazing striking game that positions him as one of the state’s top professional fighters.
Another Wisconsin fighter, “The Captain” Morgan Sickinger of Manitowoc, will arrive with a 7-2 record after an intense 25-minute war in Combat USA’s championship tournament finals. The Captain plans on leaving his opponent in a challenging disposition for redemption. Also adding to the intensity of the night will be the world renowned Dave Sixel’s Fight Club out of Sugar Camp. His fighters will have a dominating presence as his fighter brings their no surrender determination in the cage.
In addition, UFC and King of the Cage celebrity referee Herb Dean will be calling the shots throughout the matches. Dean was featured on the hit SPIKE TV series “The Ultimate Fighter” and Showtime’s “Elite Extreme Combat.” He has refereed such famous UFC bouts as Tim Sylvia vs. Frank Mir, Tito Ortiz vs. Ken Shamrock and Stephan Bonner vs. Forrest Griffin.
“I’m very impressed with the ferocity and talent of the pro-fighters throughout the state and particularly here in the Northwoods, and we are excited to have them on this card,” said Lake of the Torches Director of Marketing Michael J. Broderick. “Plus the local ammy fighters I have witnessed in the cage have the determination and aggressiveness to move up to the top amateur ranks and to break into the highly competitive professional world. High Profile will be another venue for these fighters to show fans and the rest of the sport what they have to offer.”
King of the Cage President and Founder Terry Trebilcock added: “We are excited about having a fight card with not just top professional bouts but the best local amateur talents with the potential to move up the ranks and represent Wisconsin on a national and global level.”
