Expanding Minds Initiative announces the formation of an advisory board, comprised of several of the most trusted names in the information technology sector.

On Friday, December 31, 2010 Expanding Minds Initiative announced the formation of an advisory board, comprised of several of the most trusted names in the information technology sector.

Lending their technical expertise and business acumen, the Board of Advisors includes:

  • Jon Callas, Technologist and PGP Fellow
  • Nick Owen, CEO and Founder of Atlanta-based WiKid Systems, an emerging leader in the two-factor authentication market
  • Ariel Silverstone, CISO at Expedia, noted cloud security and compliance expert and nominee for the 2010 Information Security Executive of the Year award

Board member Nick Owen says he's "very excited about where the Expanding Minds team is taking the learning experience," and looks forward to sharing his knowledge with principles Taylor Banks and Adam Bregenzer.

"Leveraging the combined experience of our own team with the industry insight that Callas, Owen and Silverstone offer will be instrumental in helping us educate organizations worldwide about the real value inherent in cloud -- without the fear, uncertainty and doubt the industry so often cultivates," says Taylor Banks, President at Expanding Minds Initiative.

Adds Co-Founder Adam Bregenzer, "It's powerful when you're presented with the opportunity to not only learn from your mentors, but heed their advice as it relates to your business. We are proud of what we have built so far, which is what attracted this amazing board. Their guidance will help us deliver innovative educational seminars like 'Cloud in 48' to more individuals and organizations than ever before."

The Expanding Minds Initiative delivers actionable technology strategy summits to help customers increase their bottom line while mastering game-changing technologies. Their first summit on cloud computing, "Zero to Cloud in 48 Hours," is being offered in Georgia and Hawaii in early 2011, with other dates and events soon to be announced.
