At the beginning of the year companies traditionally summarize the past year. VideoPort specialists updated and improved server for video conferencing VideoPort VCS, customer service VideoPort Online, collected a ready box solution. Company developed in new directions, conducted series of seminars, participated in social activities, kept old and acquired new customers.
In 2010, the world video conferencing market exceeded $ 3.5 billion. In Russia, according to various estimates, including analysis of Wainhouse Research, it is only ca. $ 40-60 million. Independent market analysts believe that 2011 will be a huge success for IP telephony in terms of sales. This is especially significant for Russia, where heads of many medium and large companies finally assessed the capacity and effectiveness of such kind of communication, as well as quick return of investments. Desktop software systems occupy only 23 percents of the market, but evidently this segment is growing faster than the whole market of videoconferencing.
VideoPort released in 2010 the new version of the server VideoPort VCS 3.0 and 3.1. Now the video is broadcast and recorded in HQ, there is increased a number of simultaneous users participating in the conference. Note that now there is an opportunity to choose for your company required features and functions, which are included in the product, and accordingly not to pay for unnecessary solutions.
In addition, VideoPort created for their clients a box solution for video conferencing, which allows to conduct video conferences, e-seminars and presentations at high level even with low speed and unstable communication channels. As a result, there have been developed two optimal sets of equipment - the "standard" and the "business" – taking into consideration the correlation "value for money".
On the annual contest "The product/solution of the year" the network solutions magazine "Lan" chose as success 2010 in the category "Video" the software video server VideoPort SBS Plus. The victory was achieved due to development of company's own decoder Cyclone - it is fully adapted to Russian conditions and provides business-quality video and sound on channels with low quality (128 kbps).
During the past year VideoPort noted some growth in demand for its services – more than 10 thousand users got installed the solution. Among the new customers there should be mentioned provider of mobile communication service "Sky Link", publishing house "Izvestiya", Samara International Airport "Kurumoch", high schools Ural State University of Economics and Moscow State Pedagogical University, communication group INTELCOM, customs office of Bashkortostan, Federal Migration Service in Chelyabinsk region, LOKO-BANK and "VTB Insurance" and many other.
VideoPort successfully conducted seminars "Video conferencing in the small and medium business" and "Conducting effective video conferencing for business." However, apart from activities with strongly commercial focus, company also supports social projects. For e.g., its experts participated in video conferences on the peculiarities of teaching children with autism and on priority changes in legislation to improve the custody of incapacitated citizens, and scientific-practical conference on information technology in modern ophthalmology. VideoPort also supported the 9th International Internet Contest "Erudite of the planet 2010", and under Video Port technical support there was conducted workshop at the Moscow city company "All-Russian Society of the Deaf" "The day of Free Access to Information".
"2010 has been practically successful for us. But we do not plan to stop here and relax. We work on further improvement of video and audio conferencing quality to HD level. We appreciate and heed the desires of our customers and certainly support the company's heads who seek to create a modern unified communication network. Therefore, in 2011 VideoPort plans to integrate its solutions with automatic telephone stations, said the Commercial Director of VideoPort Mikhail Gotalsky. Well, and shortly we release a client application for mobile phones based on the Android platform"
