Local employee, Steve Harrison, has scooped a prestigious award from Scrivens Opticians and The Hearing Company group.
Steve Harrison, Hearing Aid Dispenser at Scrivens Opticians and The Hearing Company in Wolverhampton, was presented with the Sasha Georgevic Award for exceptional individual business performance and dedication at the company’s annual conference, held at the end of November.
The award was created in honour of its late chairman Alexander 'Sasha' Georgevic and is the most prestigious honour given by the company. It recognises employees who have shown total commitment to their customers and made an outstanding contribution to the business during the year and throughout their career.
Mark Georgevic, director of the Scrivens Opticians and The Hearing Company, said: “This year we had to choose from a list of many worthy candidates for the Sasha Georgevic Award, all of which were nominated by their fellow colleagues.
“This year’s shining star was Steve Harrison, who joined Scrivens Wolverhampton as a Trainee Hearing Aid Dispenser in August 1979. Since then he has developed the Wolverhampton store into one of our most successful hearing centres. Steve also supports our Sutton Coldfield and Coleshill branches, working hand-in-hand with each team to develop their performance. Steve is the personification of a professional practice based dispenser and always goes the extra mile with every customer, providing continued support and assistance when required.”
