New York, NY (PRWEB) February 1, 2011
DPCI, a provider of integrated technology solutions for organizations that need to publish content to Web, print, and mobile channels, today announced a partnership with dataplan GmbH, the developer of JournalSuite publication mapping solutions. Through the partnership, the companies will collaborate on large-scale, multi-channel publishing system projects by integrating dataplan's JournalSuite with DPCI’s Digital Flywheel technology.
JournalSuite, which includes JournalDesigner and other modules, is utilized by leading publishers to design and plan the contents of an issue – print or online. JournalDesigner gives publishers a tool to automate the placement of content and pages based on ad requirements and editorial business rules.
DPCI integrated dataplan’s JournalDesigner with Digital Flywheel as part of a multi-channel publishing solution at Consumer Search, Inc. – a PRIMEDIA company focused on real estate advertising publications. JournalDesigner is being used by PRIMEDIA to streamline the production process for a series of apartment and housing guides that are delivered in print and online formats.
“Working with DPCI, PRIMEDIA now has a comprehensive solution to streamline production processes for their paper-based and digital format ad book publications,” explained Wolfgang Zetsche, President and CEO at Dataplan GmbH. “We look forward to collaborating with DPCI on delivering enterprise publishing systems that enable publishers to leverage JournalSuite to realize time and cost efficiencies related to their workflow and production processes.”
“dataplan offers a robust mapping solution that is flexible and can easily integrate with other editorial workflow and content management and digital asset management systems,” explained Tracy Gardner, Vice President of Client Services at DPCI. “Now, with the integrated DPCI/dataplan solution, real estate, travel, automotive and other ad book publishers have the flexibility to implement a multi-channel publishing system that delivers a consistent viewer experience across print and digital formats, without requiring redundant production resources.”
Founded in Hamburg, Germany, in 1983, dataplan is focused on production and planning software for a variety of industries. Its customer base is the publishing industry. Especially for publishing houses, dataplan offers a range of software solutions – the JournalSuite with JournalDesigner, JournalProducer, JournalBrowser – that have provided tremendous benefits in both operating performance and magazine product quality. dataplan is a totally independent software developer with hundreds of magazines in many different countries currently using its software.
