What we want is just a solemn promise from candidates to uphold the law, give fairness a chance, and nothing more.
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) February 1, 2011
After several months of extensive planning, the CA Dispensaries’ Green Alliance of Patients and Providers Political Action Committee proudly announced its official public launch this past week. The PAC has amassed a significantly large amount of funding from critical members of the Los Angeles community with the mission to protect the rights of medicinal marijuana patients and their providers. To accomplish this vital task, the group is seeking candidates to sponsor in the upcoming Los Angeles city council elections.
The committee is comprised of passionate and concerned residents, patients, and business owners who all share the compelling resolution that politicians are elected by the people for the people, and should be held accountable to this standard. When asked about the objectives that the GAPP-PAC desires to pursue, principal officer Dan Halbert stated, “The Green Alliance is merely demanding that the city council uphold the equal protection and due process provisions of the Constitution guaranteed to all, and are currently being denied to a large group of unjustly disenfranchised citizens.” This steadfast resolution to preserve fundamental principals and elements of justice make the GAPP-PAC a herald of fairness as well as a financially formidable force to influence politics.
One of the most significant aspects of the GAPP-PAC’s plan is the inclusion of expert guidance and strategy in all aspects of planning. The group has hired an outside political consulting firm to advise them on tactical and prudent methods of political campaigning; in addition this has had the additional benefit of availing themselves to advanced tools and technologies that the group plans to share with sponsored candidates.
Currently these factors make the Green Alliance an excellent partner to build a coalition with. They are now developing a comprehensive package of donations and independent campaign projects for city council candidates in Los Angeles. Michael De Marco, their treasurer said, “We’re positioned to make a tremendous impact on any candidates prospects, for better or worse. What we want is just a solemn promise from candidates to uphold the law, give fairness a chance, and nothing more. We don’t need any special favors, just equal rights.”
