The Guatemalan Exporters Association – AGEXPORT- announced the 15th Edition of AGRITRADE Expo & Conference, the most important international agribusiness trade show in Central America. The event will take place March 17-18, 2011, in the colonial city of Antigua Guatemala, a world acclaimed destination that is a touristic attraction by itself.
AGRITRADE Expo & Conference is aimed to supermarket chains, wholesalers and distributors from USA, Canada, Europe and Asia and it showcases the leading exporters of Guatemala and other Central American countries. Due to its location, product quality, long seasonality and more than 350 microclimates, this region is already a world leader in many vegetables, fruits, ornamental plants, flowers and differentiated products (organic coffee, cardamom, macadamia nuts, cacao, among others).
The show offers more than 120 exhibit booths, prescheduled Matchmaking Meetings for buyers and exporters in addition to a series of conferences and panel programs with international and local experts.
Estuardo Castro, president of the organizing committee, pointed out that this year’s event will exceed the 2009 edition results, when more than 75 international buyers attended the show, closing contracts for over US$25 millions during the two days event.
Surveys conducted after the show confirmed the satisfaction of the buyers, as over 93% of them considered the event good or excellent, and all of them would definitely recommend colleagues to attend the show.
The organizing committee will gladly help pre-registered international visitors to find exclusive accommodations and optional touristic activities, to make this great business opportunity also the most enjoyable trip.
