Vizme launched a new type of player yesterday with playlists made of multi-type and multi-sourced digital content. How Vizme playlists are packaged, viewed, searched, browsed, shared, collected and personalized is new and fun.

Vizme Beta released February 1, 2011

“Mixing elements, whether in music, film, art, food or anything, leads to a rich experience. To create that rich experience with digital content, the player needs to be engaging and easy – that’s what Vizme is about,” ,” says Dan Mayhew, Vizme CEO.

Vizme, a new social media company, packages mixed content in a fun way, creating an experience that is greater than the sum of the individual songs, videos, photos, text, and so on.

“Mixing elements, whether in music, film, art, food or anything, leads to a richer experience. To create that rich experience with digital content, the player needs to be engaging and easy – that’s what Vizme is about,” ,” says Dan Mayhew, Vizme CEO.

Vizme playlists are packaged in tokens, which are circular images that represent a topic, theme, idea or brand. Open a token and the different types of digital content may be played. No more lists of links, or pages of video to scroll. Vizme’s touch-based interface makes exploring content fun and intuitive. With one click, a token can be shared via email, Facebook or Twitter, or any of the more than 300 social networks and blogs. And it’s easy to create, collect and personalize tokens. Vizme is free for individuals and organizations to use.
