New York, NY (PRWEB) February 1, 2011 —
The Broadsmoore Group, a privately held investment advisory and merchant banking firm, is attracting high profile Wall Street executives with its new business objective--to return to basics, re-engineer the investment model, and work to prevent fraud in the financial marketplace with its new in-depth due diligence process and risk analysis. The company's CEO, Abraxas Discala, has committed his firm to making a difference on Wall Street and he is coming to find many seasoned “big bank” executives that are attracted to Broadsmoore’s mission. Today, the Broadsmoore Group announces its new COO Brian Anderson, former Chief Operating Officer at Vanquish Capital Group. Mr. Anderson brings the Broadsmoore Group over twenty-nine years of experience working in fixed income sales and trading, mortgage finance and operational expertise to ensure continued growth and success.
“Brian Anderson is the Broadsmoore Groups’ newest asset,” says Abraxas Discala, CEO of Broadsmoore. “Over the last year, the Broadsmoore Group has built a vision of how it will create a more secure and efficient Wall Street and restore investor confidence. We are strategically selecting a team of seasoned executives with a vast array of expertise that we believe will make our vision a continued reality. Mr. Anderson’s experience and passion makes him a key component to this team.”
Prior to Vanquish Capital, Mr. Anderson was also a director in Washington Mutual's Capital Markets group where he specialized in structured credit transactions. Prior, Mr. Anderson worked in the institutional mortgage business at Lehman Brothers, Morgan Stanley, Drexel Burnham Lambert, Kidder Peabody, Paine Webber and Countrywide Securities. During his tenure with these companies, Mr. Anderson specialized in structured credit and derivative transactions with a variety of institutions including hedge funds, insurance companies, money managers and banks. Also, while at these companies, he served as a senior sales contact with FNMA where he presented and executed unique structured investment ideas. Mr. Anderson received a Bachelor of Science degree from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 1974, and an MBA from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania in 1983. Mr. Anderson served in the United States Army from June 1974 to August 1981. During that period he commanded a Rifle Company in the 1/327th Infantry, and Commanded the First Infantry Brigade Headquarters Company. He is a graduate of The Army Air Assault School, Airborne School and the U S Army Ranger School where he received the Merrill's Marauder for outstanding leadership graduate as chosen by his peers.
“The Broadsmoore Group gives me great hope for the future of this country and the investment community,” says Brian Anderson COO. “Over the last few years, I have watched the disappointments one after another surface and the deterioration of investor confidence as a result. When I found the Broadsmoore Group, I was re-energized and found hope for growth and sustainability while regaining a new found confidence that our recent financial failures may never again be repeated.”
Founded in 2009, The Broadsmoore Group (TBG) is a privately held investment advisory and merchant banking firm dedicated to making a difference and creating a secure financial marketplace. TBG’s core philosophy is to return to basics, strategically partner with only those companies who support a humanitarian, socially responsible or paradigm shifting investment opportunity. TBG’s mission is to assist its strategic partners by providing capital, liquidity generation and strategic growth. The firm leverages its network of high net worth individuals, family offices and institutional investors to connect strong, socially responsible companies with the right resources.
The company has re-engineered the investment model by applying patience and discernment on the front end. Using TBG’s Wall Street expertise and proprietary technology, they are able to expand the definition of “Know your Client” to include “Know your Counterparty;” standing to protect all players in today’s fraud riddled financial environment. Prior to any transaction, all potential clients, counterparties and entities are thoroughly vetted and subject to in-depth due diligence and risk analysis. The result is a healthy and sustainable financial marketplace where investors share in profitability and the fulfillment of making a difference.
