Veteran Producer Leslie Greif Expands Production Company

THINKFACTORY MEDIA Launches With Unscripted Series, and New Projects in the Scripted and Feature Film Space

Acclaimed and Emmy-nominated Producer Leslie Greif is making a series of major expansion announcements at his production company, Boutique TV (formally known as The Greif Company) from the Realscreen Summit in Washington DC today. Greif and his producing partner of six years, Adam Reed, announced that the company is re-launching as THINKFACTORY MEDIA with a new contemporary brand identity and logo (see attachment). Adam Freeman, who currently oversees “Gene Simmons Family Jewels” and has helped oversee several other series for the company including Snoop Dogg’s MTV series “Dogg After Dark,” will be joining the company as Executive Producer of Thinkfactory Media.

The company is known for creating A&E’s hit series “Gene Simmons Family Jewels,” and A&E has picked up 15 all new episodes for season 6 of the show, which is the longest running celebrity docu-series currently on the air. Greif and his company have previously produced 121 episodes of the popular reality show. In the next three months, Thinkfactory Media, will be unveiling 4 new unscripted series, 1 mini-series, a hybrid project and two scripted TV pilots with networks such as TLC, MTV, History Channel, Lifetime and WE tv.

Under Greif’s supervision, the production company has a tremendous amount of versatility, producing high quality entertainment in every genre of television including features, award-winning documentaries, mini-series, concerts, music specials, movies of the week, reality shows and hybrid series. The company also produces History Channel’s innovative series “Chasing Mummies,” A&E’s “Teach: Tony Danza,” and one of Planet Green’s top rated series “Operation Wild.”

To streamline the company’s upcoming slate of high profile reality television series, scripted series, branded content, and feature film projects, Thinkfactory Media is re-launching with the following operating units: Thinkfactory Unscripted, Thinkfactory Scripted, Thinkfactory Branded, and Thinkfactory Films.

Greif who has produced over 500 hours of programming, and is known for creating and producing high concept TV movies, series, mini-series and specials for all of the major networks including the classic television series “Walker Texas Ranger,” and TCM's acclaimed documentary “Brando,” says “I’m excited to be working with Adam Reed and Adam Freeman and harness their creative energy and talent to broaden our horizons. “Crossing over the 100 episode threshold with ‘Gene Simmons Family Jewels’ here working with Leslie and Adam Reed has been a great experience,” added Executive Producer Adam Freeman, “I’m excited to be a part of something that we believe will offer unique programming to every network out there.” Freeman is an 11-year MTV veteran, the showrunner of “Gene Simmons Family Jewels,” and will work closely with Greif and Reed. “We have a lot of fresh approaches to programming that we hope will excite the networks and reinvigorate the media landscape.”

Reed is currently charged with overseeing all series creative development and physical production for the company, along with Adam Freeman who will also be overseeing various projects. Reed, who came to the company with a background as a successful director in the commercial industry, will continue to utilize that background to launch Thinkfactory Branded, a new division of the company which will focus on the creation and execution of branded entertainment properties. He will continue to oversee all development and production, and will also be responsible for synergizing the company’s entertainment properties with top brands. Reed is also spearheading Thinkfactory discussions with a leading entertainment industry commercial production company he has been a Director with for five years, Untitled, Inc. Together they will form a strategic partnership to pool their collective resources in the network and advertising worlds to offer clients the ability of a creative and logistical braintrust that is truly unique in the world of branded content on any platform.

Recently, Thinkfactory Media sold the international rights to “Operation Wild” with Planet Green to Fremantle Enterprises. “Operation Wild,” is currently enjoying its second season on Discovery’s Planet Green. “Gene Simmons Family Jewels” is currently in production on season 6 for A&E.

In the motion pictures space, the company is launching a new division titled Thinkfactory Films. Greif is bringing veteran executive Herb Nanas to join the unit as a Producer. With over 35 years of experience as a talent agent, personal manager and producer in Hollywood, Nanas will work closely with Greif on developing and producing a slate of high quality features. Some of Nanas’ film producing credits include such notable features as “Rocky II,” “Rocky III,” “Paradise Alley,” “Eye of the Tiger,” “Lost in America,” “Defending Your Life,” “The Scout,” and “2 Days in the Valley.” Greif is also bringing in entertainment industry veteran Joanne Rubino as the Executive in Charge of Production for Thinkfactory. Rubino has worked with Greif for over 10 years on a number of projects including the highly acclaimed “Brando” documentary for TCM.

Thinkfactory Films is currently prepping “Pound for Pound,” based on the F.X. Toole acclaimed novel which Ron Shelton will direct from a script he wrote with Dennis Quaid, Samuel L. Jackson, and Chris Brown slated to star. Greif is also in development on an independently financed comedy which he will direct, entitled “Sleeping Around.”
