The days of Android domination on the Verizon network may soon come to an end, as sales of the ever popular phones have already declined just from rumors alone. After Verizon announced the iPhone 4 was coming to their network, the nation has been scrambling to find out as much information on it as possible. Even though Verizon's iPhone looks almost identical to AT&T's version, some of the buttons and ports had to be moved slightly to accommodate a CDMA chip to operate on Verizon's network. In preparation for the release, Amzer already has TPU cases available for the Verizon iPhone 4 and plans on releasing more after the launch.
Pinakin Dinesh, CEO of Amzer, says,"The Verizon iPhone presents a host of new problems for users since there won't be many cases available that are specifically designed for it including the Apple OEM bumper." As reported by multiple media sources, the Verizon iPhone or CDMA iPhone 4 as some people are calling it, won't be 100% compatible with most cases and accessories manufactured for AT&T's version. The biggest physical change to the iPhone was the mute switch and volume controls which had to be moved further from down from the edge. In addition, notches for the antenna and the 3.5 millimeter jack have been moved as well, presenting an interesting dilemma when attempting to use protectors with precise cutouts. "Amzer cases are being redesigned to provide Verizon iPhone users with a viable option to protect their device and eliminate antenna issues soon after they receive them."
Verizon's iPhone 4 doesn't fix antenna issues from the previous model, and with case options in short supply, consumers may have difficulty finding the right one. Apple CEO Steve Jobs stated that his "pet theory" on why the iPhone 4 was dropping more calls than the 3GS had to do with the lack of cases available at launch. Both improvement in call quality and protection for Verizon's iPhone are reasons many consumers are preparing to purchase these accessories the moment they receive their device. Since Verizon customers have been waiting years for the iPhone to be sold by the carrier, keeping their newly purchased device protected is going to be very important. The iPhone 4 is notorious for it's sleek but slippery design which is prone to sliding off smooth or angled surfaces. Dinesh says ,"We are redesigning our cases in accordance to popularity, some are ready to ship whereas others will be soon after Verizon's iPhone 4 launch." Amzer's TPU cases are available now in 6 different colors and the Silicone Skin Jelly or Injecto Snap-On cases will be be ready to ship before the end of February.
Amzer was founded in 2003 by a visionary who realized handheld devices were vital for communication between people, and features of the many products available failed to meet their needs. To improve the use of these devices, Amzer was created to provide consumers with accessories to enhance their wireless devices and provide functions originally not included. The lack of multi-functional wireless accessories and gadgets fueled Amzer's team to come up with new ideas and inventions to improve the capability of these devices.
Our first line of products was designed to include many advanced features users were demanding and combine them with contemporary styles. With rapidly changing trends in the technology market, Amzer follows that same basic principle, and is constantly introducing new products to the world stage. Over the years, Amzer has rapidly grown as a leader in handheld device cases and accessories throughout the world. The team at Amzer continues to this day to design innovative products aimed to enhance the life and features of all handheld devices in the marketplace.
