The International Culture Exchange Group announced today, a new summer family event, California Global Village, which will be held July 29 to August 14, 2011.
Location is the Alameda County Fairgrounds in Pleasanton. This one of kind event is on a grand scale with phenomenal production value —one part Disneyland, one-part Olympics opening ceremony and one part multi-cultural fair.

Produced to celebrate cultural and ethnic diversity, the event features the Global Village Light Show, an outdoor installation featuring gigantic replicas of the world’s most famous landmarks, including: The Golden Gate Bridge, The Eiffel Tower, The Taj Mahal, The Ming Empire, The Pyramids of Egypt, The London Bridge, The Leaning Tower of Pisa and more. All incredible to behold by day, their magnificence is enhanced as they are illuminated each night.

These colossal, colorful and breathtaking structures--built by a team of Chinese engineers--will be shown in the United States for the very first time. A number of them are made from the most unlikely materials such as beverage cans, bottles, caps and lids, recycled batteries, DVDs and CDs, porcelain dishes and metal flatware.
This multicultural, multigenerational, two-week festival will also include food, music, art, dance and outdoor amusement. Additional attractions will include the Global Village Performance Stage featuring numerous ethnic cultures; amusement for “Tots to Teens” and; the Global Village Food Pavilion with a delicious array of cuisine representing palates across the globe.

Visionary Founder, Lulu Huang
As a young girl growing up in her native China, Lulu Huang experienced an unbelievable event that would etch a lasting memory. The historic Chinese Lantern Festival fueled Lulu’s passion for achieving high goals and bringing others along with her in the process.
Today, she is the CEO of Global PC Direct, a Fremont, CA based organization and leader in providing computer accessories to an expansive list of companies, nationwide. It is also the parent company of the International Culture Exchange Group, organizers of California Global Village, a cultural celebration for all families.
