A unique team building activity using the latest mobile phone technology.
Six teams of 7 were given a Map, a Torch, a Teampack and a Mobile Telephone to head out into London Town to score as many points as possible. Teams will be interacting with the telephones and visiting a variety of London landmarks and some lesser known Hidden Treasures. As Teams walk around the city they are answering questions programmed into telephone handsets and continually scoring points competing against the other teams.
There were nine locations for the teams to choose from and one end point where the winning team is presented with their prize. We stipulated that teams should aim to visit a minimum of five locations, making it very achievable. One of the locations is a traditional London Ale and Pie house, here teams will try some local ale and be challenged to identify the brand. At the other locations teams simply take a photograph in front of the obvious landmark.
The team who visits the most locations and answers the most questions within the allotted time wins.
The locations used were as follows:
Postman’s Park (near St Pauls Cathedral)
Paternoster Square (St Pauls Cathedral)
London’s Guildhall (Iconic building)
Smithfield’s Meat Market (Ale and Pie House)
Spitalfields Market (Bohemian Area of London)
The Barbican Centre (Theatre and Arts Centre)
The Museum of London
Liverpool Street Station
Bank of England Station (Bank)
Finish Point – All Bar One – Chiswell Street
