San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) February 3, 2011
SideReel, the largest independent TV destination in the U.S. with more than 10 million monthly unique users, today announced the availability of an iPhone app designed to help users find, track and watch their favorite TV shows anytime, anywhere.
“One of the most popular features on SideReel is the ability to track and mark favorite shows as watched,” said SideReel CEO Roman Arzhintar. “In January alone, 10 million episodes were marked as ‘watched,’ which tells us that users are highly engaged with their shows and would like to manage them on the go.”
With the SideReel iPhone app, developed in conjunction with software design firm Atomic Object, you can:
- Find favorite TV shows
- See TV listings and create a personal TV calendar
- Purchase and watch available episodes through iTunes and Hulu Plus
- Get notifications when shows are airing
- Track shows they have watched and want to watch
A recent user survey by SideReel, conducted in December 2010, showed 30 percent of users owned an iOS device. Twenty-two percent owned an iPod Touch, and more than five percent of SideReelers had an iPad. With the new app, users will be able to purchase shows and watch shows from the iTunes store.
