Annual Survey Gives Independent Operators the Opportunity to Share Data to See How Their Operations Measure Up Against The Grocery Industry As a Whole

The 2011 edition of the Independent Grocers Survey, a joint venture between FMS Solutions and the National Grocers Association (NGA), has been mailed directly to Independent Grocers across the United States and for the first time, as an added convenience, participants can now fill out the Survey in its entirety at In addition to the National Survey, many Advertising groups and Wholesalers are beginning to take advantage of segmented surveys for their members.

According to Bob Graybill, President of FMS Solutions, "For many years, participation in this National Survey has provided a great opportunity for Independent Grocers to measure their results against National, Regional, and participating Wholesalers and Ad groups. Especially in today's tough competitive environment, knowing where your operation stands and where improvements can be made can be a key to success or sometimes even survival."

The results of the 2011 Independent Grocers Survey will feature a review of the Independent Retail Grocery Industry as a whole and the potential impact of various economic changes in the marketplace. The Survey will also include Gross Margins by department; Profit Leaders; Labor and Benefits expenses, and more. Survey participants will receive a free copy of survey results.
