Charm Beta-lactam/ Tetracycline Combo kit accepted by the Polish Veterinary Research Institute. The Polish Veterinary Research Institute (PIWET) in Pulawy has announced that the Charm MRLBL/TET Combo kit is officially accepted to screen and confirm ²-lactam and Tetracycline residues in milk, at or near EU maximum residue limits (MRLs). The PIWET team, led by Dr Hanna Ró|aDska, validated the 8 minute Charm Combo test performance in 2010. Charm MRLBL/TET is the only beta-lactam/tetracycline combination test that detects the most beta-lactams and tetracycline drugs in milk at or below MRLs. The test is easy to use, portable and requires minimal equipment. All Charm Combo tests are run on-farm, in-transit/ tanker, at milk receiving bays, in milk laboratories, and can be run on the same equipment. Charm Sciences manufactures other Combo kits to meet stricter dairy import sensitivity levels on tetracyclines required by the Russian Federation, and a beta-lactam/flunixin Combo which is the first milk kit available to detect the metabolites of flunixin , a non steroidal anti-inflammatory drug.
