Conceived by the team that currently produces the beloved, 34-year-old Park City Magazine, SagaCity Media will launch Salt Lake Bride & Groom and Park City Bride & Groom in mid-June 2011.

Salt Lake Bride & Groom and Park City Bride & Groom will provide local couples with inventive ideas and trusted in-region resources for everything from couture gowns and creative catering to sharp-shooting photographers and stunning reception sites.

SagaCity Media, Inc., on Monday announced the launch of Salt Lake Bride & Groom and Park City Bride & Groom. The two titles relate to a single magazine that will be published twice yearly, in June and December. A website launch will coincide with the release of the premiere issue in mid-June 2011.

Conceived by the team that currently produces the beloved, 34-year-old Park City Magazine, the new titles will extend that publication’s ethos of community service. They will also draw on the wedding media expertise of Park City Magazine’s parent company, SagaCity Media, which publishes the award-winning Portland Bride & Groom and Seattle Met Bride & Groom along with its best-selling monthly magazines in Seattle and Portland. The company’s editorial directors look forward to sharing their expertise with the exciting, growing markets in Park City and Salt Lake City.

Tessa Woolf, a Utah-born writer, editor, and blogger with three years’ experience editing wedding and lifestyle publications in the area joins the magazine as editor.

“Utah couples and those planning destination weddings here are hungry for a publication that is as cosmopolitan, sophisticated, and stylish as they are,” said Woolf. “Salt Lake Bride & Groom and Park City Bride & Groom will provide them with inventive ideas and trusted in-region resources for everything from couture gowns and creative catering to sharp-shooting photographers and stunning reception sites. The Utah market deserves a publication of this caliber, and I am thrilled to be a part of it.”

“First in Portland and then in Seattle, wedding vendors and engaged couples alike have been incredibly enthusiastic about our forward-thinking trend coverage, our modern and eye-catching design, and our smart, straightforward advice on every aspect of Big Day planning and celebrating,” said Laura Cassidy, editorial director of SagaCity’s Bride & Groom titles. “We’re excited to make the most of Tessa’s vision and her in-depth knowledge of both cities’ wedding industries with our award-winning format.”

A privately held media company based in Portland, Ore., SagaCity Media, Inc., publishes some two dozen consumer and custom titles, which have won numerous national and regional awards for design, editorial content, and community service. SagaCity’s electronic media division runs a number of highly trafficked websites, with its two flagships, portlandmonthlymag.com and seattlemet.com, having experienced over 400 percent growth since their relaunch in early 2009.
