The Marina Inn at Grande Dunes in Myrtle Beach, S.C., has been named one of the “Top 25 Hotels in the United States” in TripAdvisor®'s 2011 Travelers' Choice Hotel Awards. It was ranked #18.

The AAA four-diamond Marina Inn—located on the Grande Dunes Resort in Myrtle Beach—is recommended by 93 percent of those who reviewed it on TripAdvisor. They admire the hotel's world-class accommodations, outstanding staff, breathtaking views and propensity to exceed expectations. The Marina Inn at Grande Dunes has consistently remained #1 out of 236 Myrtle Beach hotels on TripAdvisor for more than a year for business and leisure travel.

The TripAdvisor Media Network attracts more than 50 million unique monthly visitors across 17 travel brands. Its sites have more than 20 million registered members and more than 40 million user reviews and opinions.

“We're elated that the Marina Inn is ranked as one of the top 25 hotels in the entire country by the world's leading travel ranking site, TripAdvisor,” said Pamela Shelley, director of sales and marketing at the Marina Inn at Grande Dunes. “It's truly an honor to be in the company of so many other extraordinary hotels, and quite a wonderful feeling to know that this recognition comes straight from guest feedback. We will continue to provide a high-class accommodation experience to visitors who come to the Myrtle Beach area for business or pleasure.”

The Marina Inn at Grande Dunes offers 200 oversized guest rooms and expansive suites with terraces from every room that overlook the Grande Dunes marina or the Intracoastal Waterway.

Its top 25 hotel ranking on TripAdvisor is the latest in a long line of accolades for the Marina Inn. In 2010, Expedia® travelers ranked the Marina Inn at Grande Dunes among the world’s best hotels on this year’s Expedia Insiders’ Select™ list. It was also recognized as a top hotel by Meetings South magazine and Successful Meetings magazine.

Recognition has also been given to Marina Inn's premier restaurant, WaterScapes, a casually elegant restaurant located on the lower level of the hotel that is open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner. WaterScapes specializes in sustainable dining by serving only fresh and local seafood from providers in the Carolinas. The menu also includes bread that is baked daily and an array of delicious homemade desserts.

Last year, WaterScapes received the Santé Culinary Hospitality Award from Santé, the Magazine for Restaurant Professionals in the sustainability category for the Southeast division of the United States. It was also named a Platinum Partner in South Carolina's Sustainable Seafood Initiative, and was the first restaurant in the city of Myrtle Beach to do so.
