As a result, smaller local builders and hardware stores are routinely overwhelmed by the demand during the peak seasons. What we hope to provide is a way that they can purchase quality products, at good prices, and that are delivered quickly
Tinley Park, IL (PRWEB) February 9, 2011
SC Cornhole recently announced the official launch of their Wholesale Program for cornhole bags and boards. The new program targets retail operations, local builders, as well as local charities who are looking to use cornhole products as a fundraiser for their organization.
While SC Cornhole has had a wholesale program available to local builders, it's been a small scale program that the company was beta-testing. Owner Tom Roth says, "While we have had resellers purchasing from us for a number of years, we hadn't felt confident that we could market the program to the masses because of our production capability. Now we feel confident that we can handle the largest of orders."
In 2006, the company announced the addition of its weather resistant cornhole bags. In 2007, SC Cornhole added additional scoring options for the game as well as a new weather resistant cornhole board for play at beaches and lake houses. Over the last several years, the company has continued to add ancillary products in order to meet the needs of the players as the game grows in sophistication.
While Cornhole has been around for decades, it has really exploded in popularity over the past 7-8 years. The game involves pitching a bag at a 4x2’ cornhole boards with a hole towards the top. Most games are played with 4 players (2 per team) and 4 bags are thrown per team per round. In areas such as Chicago or Ohio, the game has become a staple at tailgate and picnic events. And over the last several years, national tournaments have been held to find out the best cornhole player in the country.
Tom Roth says, “When we first opened our doors, the game was already popular in Chicago and Ohio. Every year we monitor sales across the country and we see huge increases outside the Midwest in states like Florida and California. As a result, smaller local builders and hardware stores are routinely overwhelmed by the demand during the peak seasons. What we hope to provide is a way that they can purchase quality products, at good prices, and that are delivered quickly.”
SC Cornhole was started in 2005 and has become a leading distributor of cornhole bags and boards. The company has sold well over 500,000 bags across the country. Their products are routinely used in large tournaments and sold by a vast network of builders and retail stores.
