Learning Objects, Inc. is pleased to announce that Campus Pack, a social learning platform, has been chosen as a finalist in the IMS Global Learning Consortium, Inc. Learning Impact Recognition and Awards. Campus Pack, in conjunction with Baldwin-Wallace College, was nominated for facilitating the implementation of B-W Action Plans, which support freshmen students in educational goal planning and the promotion life-long learning.
The Learning Impact Awards program is facilitated by the IMS Global Learning Consortium (IMS GLC) for the purpose of recognizing outstanding applications of technology that address the most significant challenges facing the global education and learning industries.
Campus Pack empowers instructors, academic technologies, and instructional designers to build and implement assignments and activities from a palette of re-usable social media tools, such as wikis, blogs, podcasts, and more. Campus Pack is currently deployed at over 450 institutions worldwide. Baldwin-Wallace College, a private college, uses Campus Pack's Personal Learning Space for a required freshman orientation course, where students are tasked with keeping an action plan.
Baldwin Wallace's Manager of Educational Technology Services John DiGennaro explains, "As we progress with our use of Campus Pack, we envision each student having a living record of their successes throughout their college years. It's an ideal tool to support students through college admissions, courses co-curricular activities, experiential learning, and career development.
Learning Objects and representatives from Baldwin-Wallace College will attend the Learning Impact Conference in Long Beach, California to showcase the entry for judging.
