Outlier hosted the suite, and each time a celebrity selected a gift, made a cash donation representing a portion of its value to Stand Up To Cancer, a grassroots movement which funds research to get new treatments to patients quickly. “We are grateful for the generous support from Outlier and SWAGG,” said Kathleen Lobb, a Stand Up To Cancer co-founder. “This donation will be put to good use, at a time of great promise in cancer research.”
Celebrities such as Susan Sarandon, Terrell Owens, Paul Rudd, Mario Lopez and Eliza Dushku passed through the “House of SWAGG” and also had the chance to check out the SWAGG application, which enables consumers to manage gift, loyalty and membership cards on their mobile devices as well as give, get and even exchange SWAGG GIFTS from participating merchant partners. The “House of SWAGG” featured merchants such as American Apparel, Inc., Carrera, Crocs, Inc., HINT Water, got2b, lia sophia, popchips™, Under Armour and Wellensteyn.
In addition to its work at Sundance, SWAGG has committed to donate an additional $125,000 to Stand Up To Cancer -- $1 for every consumer who downloads the application and registers via the SWAGG website, the App Store and Android Market thru December 31, 2011.
