Anthem Institute—Jersey City marked 40 years in education January 21 with a reception where it honored alumni and business partners.
Alumni from each program who had shown solid academic achievements as students and went on to successful careers in their fields were invited to speak about their experiences at Anthem.
Rueben Batisita, an alumnus from the medical assistant program honored for his work, told the gathering how Anthem faculty and staff touched his life as a single parent and provided him with the education he needed to be successful.
Other honored alumni included Dawn Boudmer, a graduate of our medical billing & coding program; Denise Gonzalez, of our graphic design & animation program; and Robert Crawford, of our computer networking & security program. Each one echoed Mr. Batisita’s sentiments regarding the assistance and encouragement they received from Anthem Institute faculty and staff.
Ed Imperiosi, a former Regional Director for the school, gave the keynote speech. Mr. Imperiosi was with the campus at the time of its founding in 1987. He too noted the devotion Anthem Institute staff and faculty show to students, and congratulated students and alumni for refusing to give up on their dreams for a better life.
