Legend Homes’ team members continue both their volunteerism and their involvement in the homebuilding community on local and national levels. Several Legend Homes employees have achieved notable awards as well as recognition for their service in 2011. Included among the individuals making new strides this year are Jim Chapman, President of Legend Homes, Mike Goodrich, Vice President, and Carol Helms, Quality Assurance Manager.

This year Legend Homes President Jim Chapman also became President of the Oregon Home Builders Association (OHBA) and part of the EarthAdvantage® Institute’s Board of Directors, where he will serve until 2014. Vice President Mike Goodrich was elected OHBA Education Chairman this year and has been a member of the Philomath School District Budget Committee since 2010. Legend Homes’ Quality Assurance Manager, Carol Helms, is currently serving as President of the Portland Chapter of the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) and continues her volunteer work with Habitat for Humanity-All Women Build, Mentoring A Girl in Construction, a free Summer Construction Camp for High School Girls, and has also had the opportunity to travel to South Africa with People to People and NAWIC to study building practices in South Africa.
