Today at the Reinsurance Association of America Catastrophe Modeling Conference, SpatialKey and Kinetic Analysis announced a strategic partnership to provide real-time and historical tropical storm analysis for underwriters, actuaries and risk managers. The alliance combines SpatialKey’s innovative location-based data visualization and analysis platform with Kinetic’s comprehensive storm impact forecasts to offer a visually compelling way to assess the impact of a storm before and immediately after it makes landfall.

Detailed and insightful information on the impact of a storm is vital in the insurance industry. Until now, insurance companies were required to build custom applications to allow risk managers to analyze storm data, and these applications were often complicated, unreliable and difficult to work with. SpatialKey’s easy-to-use data visualization solution will allow Kinetic's customers to identify, prepare for and respond to catastrophic weather systems more quickly and accurately.
