Knowing that over one million people have used MyNetDiary to work toward success with their dieting goals is inspiring,” says Sergey Oreshko, CEO of 4Technologies Corporation, “and we would like our members to have an opportunity to share their success."

MyNetDiary, a comprehensive food diary and calorie counter with online and mobile app services, announced today that over one million members have used its food and exercise tracking tools to work toward their dieting goals. To mark this milestone, MyNetDiary has launched a video contest called “MySuccess with MyNetDiary” to seek motivating videos from its members. The member who submits the winning video, which will be determined by a public vote, will receive an Apple iPad (64GB, WiFi).

“Knowing that over one million people have used MyNetDiary to work toward success with their dieting goals is inspiring,” says Sergey Oreshko, CEO of 4Technologies Corporation, “and we would like our members to have an opportunity to share their success stories with others who are, or have been, in their shoes. In effect, if a picture is worth a thousand words, then we believe a video is no less than a novel.”

MyNetDiary is looking for videos no longer than two minutes long that give others insight into the trials, triumphs, thoughts and new outlook members experienced during their weight loss journey. MyNetDiary is not necessarily looking for the member who lost the most weight tracking calories; although that can be an inspiring story. Makers of the online and mobile food diary service are looking for that “behind-the-scenes” glimpse into a member’s journey and what it was like to walk in their shoes. They are asking members to answer questions, directly or indirectly, such as, “What moment(s) in your life prompted you to lose weight?” and “What can you do now that you couldn’t do before?”

“Although we may have provided tools, expert advice and a Community Forum to help people with their weight loss goals,” explains Oreshko, “it is our members who committed to succeeding with their plan each day, and they deserve some recognition for their efforts.” According to a recent analysis of its members’ reports, it was shown that active MyNetDiary members lose, on average, about 12 percent of their body weight - or approximately 27 pounds - by tracking calories.

Video submissions for “MySuccess with MyNetDiary” can be uploaded to MyNetDiary.com starting April 1. After all videos have been submitted, a judging panel will select ten finalists and period of public voting will determine the overall winning submission. That winner will receive an Apple iPad (64GB, WiFi).
