AGLogic today released a browser-based version of its popular swackett™ weather app: Now anyone with a modern web browser can look at the weather in a whole new way.

swackett™ is the simplest, most easy to understand, most accurate weather forecast available.

AGLogic today released a browser-based version of its popular weather app titled swackett™, short for "sweater, jacket or coat". The swackett™ Web App is based on the popular Mac App by the same name, an app that was featured in the new Apple Mac App Store during its grand opening on January 6th. The swackett™ Mac App quickly saw more than 100,000 downloads (within its first 10 day of release) and recently swackett™ users reached a new milestone: downloading more than 5 million weather reports in less than 30 days.

swackett™ has been earning rave reviews from users and reviewers alike, many of whom took an immediate liking to swackett's unique visual weather report. swackett™ combines raw weather data with thoughtfully crafted people symbols (called “peeps”) who always appear appropriately dressed for the weather. If it happens to be cold outside, swackett's peeps appear dressed in winter hats, coats and boots. A hot, sunny day? swackett's peeps appear wearing shorts and sunglasses -- and they even remember to bring along drinking water and sunblock. Its a fun, fresh and truly useful weather report experience for people of any age.

The swackett™ Web App matches it's Mac App counterpart feature for feature, and shares customized user preferences across both applications. While the Mac App is only able to run on modern Apple Macintosh computers running the latest Snow Leopard operating system, the swackett™ Web App can run on any modern web browser.

swackett™ apps are free, and AGLogic does sell additional peeps available in a variety of entertaining editions. Current and upcoming editions include the 1950′s edition, the ale and wench edition, a very special british invasion edition, the la edición de américa latina, and a far east edition.
