Enterprise Data World 2011 Presents the Future of Data Architecture

This year’s conference will include a track specifically dedicated to Enterprise Data Architecture that includes topics on Big Data, NoSQL, Virtualization, Cloud-based Data Management and Agile Techniques.

The technologies for enterprise data management are evolving quickly - much faster than most organizations realize.

Enterprise Data World, the business world’s most comprehensive educational event about data and information management, will feature an entire track dedicated solely to Enterprise Data Architecture during its much anticipated conference, taking place April 3-7, 2011 at the Chicago Sheraton Towers. Leading industry experts will speak on a variety of topics including the following:

Scott Burke, Vice President of Yahoo!, User Data and Analytics Yahoo! will present on “Analytics: Measuring Everything and What It Means.” Burke leads the User Data and Analytics group at Yahoo! and is responsible for company-wide consumer and advertiser analytics.

Mike Ferguson, Managing Director for Intelligent Business Strategies Ltd., will speak on “Data Management in A Cloud Computing Environment.” Ferguson’s session will study the following topics such as deployment options, public vs. private clouds, multi-tenancy, managing multiple databases in the cloud, data privacy, data security and integrating the cloud.

Rob Karel, Principal Analysts at Forrester Research will deliver a Keynote session entitled “Avoid Process Data Headaches: Align Data Management and Business Process Initiative.” In this keynote, Karel discusses best practices to achieve business process and data governance alignment and offers recommendations on how to develop the necessary roles and responsibilities to support this.

Robert Abate, Principal Practice Consultant for EMC Corporation will speak on “Extreme Performance “Big” Data Warehousing.” During his seminar attendees will learn about the many intricacies that surround the building of “Big Data” warehouses including architectural integration, columnar vs. MPP, reference architectures, control of information usage and backup/recovery requirements.
