Lauri Sjoblom and Symphony Seed Papers, her Santa Fe NM based company, have developed a product that has been sweeping the environmental world. And with Earth Day happening soon on April 22, Symphony Seed Papers will be offering gifts and give- aways that are environmentally friendly, and can be planted to grow flowers!

Ms. SJoblom began to introduce a flowering, seeded paper way back in 1995, when green wasn’t quite recognized in the promotional products arena. But through perseverance, and educating people to her dream of having a product that could be recycled into the ground instead of being thrown away, and with lots of creativity, she created products such as bookmarks, ornaments, cards, invitations, and even folders and boxes that can be planted to grow flowers, herbs, even trees. After 16 years in business, she has worked with some of the largest corporations in the country, from NBC, HGTV, Volvo, Ford, Sun Microsystems, Office Depot, Sun Edison, KB Homes, Domtar, and even did a plantable mailer for the DVD “The Inconvenient Truth.” The list of business that have used Symphony Seed Paper to promote their corporate practices gets larger And larger each year as companies are showing their support for the environment.

Why Seed Paper?

Most of us are aware of global warming, and the effects our waste is having on our world. By using natural, recycled fibers to make the paper, soy based inks to print on the paper, and organic pigments, every aspect of the seeded paper is green, and using such paper to advertise is at the forefront of environmental responsibility. The reusing, recycling, and growing aspects of her papers mirror the world’s concerns to make the earth a cleaner place for the next generations. And it is lovely to look at, fun to give, and packed full of many different varieties of seeds.

With the deforestation of our natural resources to make traditional paper, it is refreshing for businesses and people to utilize an idea that can actually give back to the earth.

Symphony Seed Papers is gearing up for Earth Day, by offering plantable butterflies, planet earth shapes, bookmarks, journals, packaging and much more. Lauri Sjoblom’s dream of greening the planet in a beautiful and artistic way has come to life, and business is blooming!
