It's the penetrating action that is key to the product, because it will creep up the bolt and penetrate it whereas ordinary lubricants won't. It just makes life easier for technicians who are dealing with particularly challenging bolts and seized parts.

Experts at the Coventry-based company said Forté Rust Penetrant is the ideal helping hand for technicians to free up seized parts on vehicles.
Forté Rust Penetrant not only loosens rusted and corroded metal, but unloosens seized moving parts and provides long lasting lubrication. Its properties, which contain non stick coating PTFE, also displace moisture, form a temporary anti-corrosive coating and provide lubricity and load-bearing resistance.
The product has dewatering, penetrating and corrosion inhibition properties and should be sprayed directly on to the component or surface from 15 to 30cm to penetrate or form a film.
It can be used on all ferrous metals as a general purpose lubricant and is specifically designed to release seized and corroded components. The product can also be used as a general purpose light duty lubricant, a dewatering fluid or as a temporary anti-corrosive coating.
Phil Dugmore, Technical Manager at Forté, said: “Forté Rust Penetrant gets rusty bolts and seized parts moving when you are stripping down a vehicle. It can be used at any time of the year but it is even more relevant at the moment with the freezing weather conditions potentially causing a host of problems for technicians working on customers’ vehicles.
“It’s the penetrating action that is key to the product, because it will creep up the bolt and penetrate it whereas ordinary lubricants won’t. It just makes life easier for technicians who are dealing with particularly challenging bolts and seized parts.”
Today, Forté operates throughout the UK and works with around 9,000 garages, workshops, MOT stations and franchised dealers.
