As YogaLondon’s second teacher training course enters the final stretch, next September’s dates have been announced. Meanwhile, spaces on the April course are filling up and YogaLondon’s graduate teachers are launching their yoga careers.
September 9th 2011 will mark a full twelve months since YogaLondon launched its first 3 month intensive teacher training course. Like others it will run over ten weekends covering 200 hours of training including intensive asana and meditation practice, journaling, study of set texts, anatomy and a thorough analysis of teaching methodology. More information and a breakdown of the dates can be found at http://www.yogalondon.net/teacher_training/teacher_training.aspx.
YogaLondon’s teacher trainings are designed for those who don’t have the luxury of taking a month or two off work. Structured over three months, trainees can learn around their 9 to 5 with teaching hours on Friday evenings, Saturdays and Sundays. This enables the required 200 hours of training to take place over three months including three rest weekends in between each trio of weekends.
The next 3 month course is scheduled to begin on April 15th running until July 10th. The September 2010 and current January course both reached full capacity, with a dozen weeks left before April’s training starts, and YogaLondon’s growing reputation, the few spots left are bound to disappear soon.
Meanwhile some of the September 2010 course graduates have launched websites for their classes and yoga services. Some profiles can be viewed at http://www.yogalondon.net/graduates/landing.aspx?id=5.
