PwC US concluded Personal Brand Week 2.0 today with “Pulling it All Together – Elevator Pitch and Body Language” to help students successfully articulate and express their personal brands.
As a finale to the week-long event, undergraduates can now enter the “Best Elevator Pitch Contest” for the opportunity to win $5,000. The 30-second video contest asks participants to highlight what makes them valuable and unique to potential employers. By visiting the Careers tab on PwC’s Facebook page, contestants can upload their pitches and have friends, family and followers vote for them. The contest ends March 25.
“Having a memorable and concise elevator pitch is critical - it will allow you to confidently share your professional strengths and goals,” said Paula Loop, U.S. and Global Talent Leader for PwC. “The elevator pitch contest is a creative way to conclude the week and we look forward to seeing the video entries.”
The previous topics covered during Personal Brand Week 2.0 include “Building Your Network” – simple steps to building a strong and authentic network; “You Are What You Write” – the art of effective writing skills; “Your Online Image Makeover”– promoting your online brand; and "View from the Other Side: Getting the Job" – what recruiters look for in prospective hires.
