New name better reflects the private-equity firm’s focus on the commercial and residential improvements industry.

Great Day Improvements, LLC is the new name of the private equity firm that has recently acquired the assets of sunroom manufacturer and retailer; Patio Enclosures, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio.

Great Day Improvements is poised to take advantage of what promises to be a strong North American building market. The National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) is forecasting 5% growth in 2011 and 10% growth in 2012. This growth will have a positive effect on the firm in two ways – increased consumer demand for lifestyle oriented room additions from Patio Enclosures and increased acquisition opportunities within the commercial and residential improvements market sectors.

“We believe in the commercial and home improvements industry and see growth potential in these markets, just as the NAHB forecasts. Customers are responding with great interest” said Great Day Managing Director Steve White. “We expect great financial success through an improved market, integration of companies in our portfolio and our commitment to quality.”

Following each private-equity investment, the Great Day Improvements’ management team works closely with company management to accelerate business growth. The firm sets out to improve the operating performance of each investment they make, not just manage the investment.

Great Day provides additional capital, strategic advice, business contacts, and other resources to help re-build businesses Mr. White said, “As a private-equity firm, we have found that we add significant stability to every company and management team that we support.” The company is committed to investing for the long term.
